These four original San Andreas PS2 button sequences are listed in Rockstar’s Special Ed tips. Enter them during gameplay. Before experimenting, keep a clean save: Rockstar warns that saving after cheats can leave glitches or corrupted data.

Use the D-pad for directions. Symbols represent face buttons: Triangle (△), Square (□), Circle (○), Cross (×). L1, L2, R1, R2 are shoulder buttons. Each separator indicates the next button press, not simultaneous presses.

Save Preservation Warning
Rockstar advises against saving after activating San Andreas cheats. Its recovery instruction is to power off the PlayStation 2 without saving, then load a cheat-free save. Keep that earlier file separate from any experiment.
Rockstar’s save-file troubleshooting also recommends trying a file from before cheat use. It does not establish that every loading problem has this cause or guarantee recovery when a clean earlier file is unavailable.
Scope and Limitations
Use this table for the original PS2 version. For a later port or Definitive Edition, check a reference for that exact edition. These four effects are the ones named in the table; they are not a vehicle-selection menu or a promise to complete every mission.
The sequences are transcribed from the publisher’s reference, rather than our own gameplay tests. For additional entry context, see our San Andreas PS2 input guide. For GTA V, read the separate saving and achievement rules instead.
