For GTA Online with Hao’s Special Works, the Banshee GTS HSW reaches a measured 172.5 mph (277.61 km/h) in Broughy1322’s tests. At this check, GTACars lists it first among its 30 HSW vehicles for top speed, but eighth for lap time. That is a scoped comparison, not a claim that it wins every race or every category.

Banshee GTS: HSW versus normal performance upgrades
The table compares the HSW configuration with the normally upgraded, non-HSW Banshee GTS. The second row is not an unmodified stock car. Speeds and laps are Broughy1322’s published measurements; we have not conducted these driving tests.

The mph figures are rounded conversions of the displayed km/h values. GTACars lists HSW conversion access for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Enhanced, separately from buying the base vehicle. These are GTA Online configurations; they do not describe a Story Mode car unlock.
Why fastest in a straight line can lose a lap
Broughy1322’s speed methodology measures sustained speed after acceleration has finished, using five runs over a measured 0.2-mile road section with upgraded vehicles. It does not measure how quickly a car gets away from a standing start.
The lap-time method uses a common circuit and records a vehicle’s best lap. Corners and acceleration sections affect that result. No single circuit represents every track or driver, so the top-speed and lap-time columns answer different questions.
Choose for the race you can enter
- Confirm your game edition and whether the event permits HSW and the relevant vehicle class.
- For a long straight, compare sustained speed; for a technical circuit, compare lap results and handling that suits you.
- Check the source again after updates. This two-configuration example is not a complete non-HSW, boosted-vehicle or all-platform ranking.
